PUBLIC HEARING - City of Lilburn FY2018/2019 Budget and Adoption of Budget Ordinance #2018-523

As part of the FY 2018/2019 Budget Process, staff requests Mayor and Council to conduct a public hearing prior to the adoption of the FY 2018/2019 budget ordinance.  A public hearing was held on May 16, 2018 at City Hall.

The FY 2018/2019 annual budgets for the City of Lilburn are:
General Fund - $7,916,111
Confiscated Assets Fund - $80,000
Capital Projects Fund - $321,592
Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (2017 SPLOST) - $3,779,763

As discussed in our budget meeting on May 16, 2018, the millage rate will remain at 4.43 mils and is scheduled to be adopted at the Council meeting on July 09, 2018.  This budget includes a Sanitation fee of $13.12/mo for each residential property owner.

Award of Bid – #COL2018-PLAYGROUND/5.31.18 – American Architectural Design Specialties d/b/a Architectural Design Specialties/Playground Creations.

On two separate occasions, the City properly advertised for bids regarding the replacement and installation of playground equipment for the expanded playground area at City Park. The first bid opening resulted in no bids being received. Subsequently, the City reissued the bid and received one qualified bid on 6/5/18. Being that the City solicited bids on two separate occasions, staff recommends award of bid to the above-referenced company.
