CONSISTENT WITH THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION AND THE RELIGIOUS LAND USE AND INSTITUTIONALIZED PERSONS ACT OF 2000, THE CITY OF LILBURN DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE ON THE BASIS OF RELIGION IN THE APPLICATION OF ITS LAWS, POLICIES, OR PROCEDURES, INCLUDING THE APPLICATION OF ITS LAND USE REGULATIONS AND ZONING LAWS. INFORMATION ABOUT A CONSENT ORDER RESOLVING A RELIGIOUS-DISCRIMINATION LAWSUIT BROUGHT BY THE UNITED STATES AGAINST THE CITY OF LILBURN UNDER THE RELIGIOUS LAND USE AND INSTITUTIONALIZED PERSONS ACT OF 2000 ("RLUIPA") IS AVAILABLE HERE.

It is essential to the proper operation of democratic government that public officers are and give the appearance of being independent, impartial, and responsible to the people. In addition, governmental decisions and policies are to be handled through the proper channels and public office is not to be used for personal gain.
Lilburn's New Alarm Ordinance Registration
On December 12, 2011, the City of Lilburn enacted Ordinance number 423-11, which requires all residential and commercial alarm users to obtain a permit and to reimburse the City for excessive false alarms.
Administrative Offices Closed May 28, 2012
City administrative offices will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2012 for our annual City holiday, Memorial Day.
May 2012 Town Hall Meeting
The Town Hall Meeting ordinarily scheduled for the fourth Monday of each month, will be held on Tuesday, May 29, due to the Memorial Day Holiday. |
