Requesting Records & Information

The city clerk is the records custodian for the City of Lilburn. All open records requests should be made directly to the city clerk.

Under the Georgia Open Records Act, all public records are available for inspection and copying unless they are specifically exempted from disclosure under the law. Copying or research fees may apply.

If you are requesting a Zoning Certification Letter, please visit the Zoning Page, under Planning & Zoning.  Zoning Certification Letters should not be requested through our online portal.

Once the document is completed and available for download, mail, or pick-up, you will receive an email from If fees are $25 or more, the requester must certify that they will pay the fee before documents are released.

How to Pay for Your Request

We accept cash, check, or credit card (only in person).  We do not take payments over the phone.
