Requesting Records & Information
The City Clerk is the records custodian for the City of Lilburn. All open records requests should be made directly to the City Clerk.
Under the Georgia Open Records Act, all public records are available for inspection and copying unless they are specifically exempted from disclosure under the law.
Under § 50-18-71, a reasonable charge for the search, retrieval, redaction, and production or copying costs may be charged. Associated costs shall not exceed the prorated hourly salary of the lowest paid full-time employee who, in the reasonable discretion of the custodian of the records, has the necessary skill and training to perform the request. Hard copies of Open Records Requests will be ten cents per page.
If fees are $25 or more, the requester must certify that they will pay the fee before documents are released.
If you are requesting a Zoning Certification Letter, please visit the Zoning Page, under Planning & Zoning. Zoning Certification Letters should not be requested through our online portal.
