Lily's Bridge

The City of Lilburn is honored to introduce Lily’s Bridge, our community’s version of the beloved Rainbow Bridge. This special place, a transformation of the spur bridge located on the Camp Creek Greenway Trail at Lilburn City Park, was created to provide comfort and remembrance for those who have lost a cherished pet. We warmly welcome you to take part in this meaningful tribute by leaving tokens to celebrate the lasting bonds we share with our pets.

More About Lily's Bridge

Lilburn City Park is known amongst locals as a place of new beginnings, community and connection. Many animals, whether lost or abandoned, are often found in Lilburn City Park by compassionate community members who give these animals another chance at life. This, along with an anonymous poem titled “At the Rainbow Bridge,” inspired residents Ted and Sandi Wright, who brought the idea to park staff to incorporate a heartfelt tribute space into the beloved community park. Lily's Bridge is now one of the few pet memorial bridges to exist in the United States.

The last stanza from “At the Rainbow Bridge” reads, “Reunited in joy, no more to part / Always together, in each other’s heart.” This quote encompasses exactly what Lily’s Bridge symbolizes: a place for lost pets, those waiting for their owners at the Rainbow Bridge and those who pass through the park, searching for love and kindness.
