New Information Regarding Property Tax Billing for Lilburn Property Owners

Effective fall of 2021, the City of Lilburn will be billing and collecting Lilburn property owner’s ad valorem property tax, street light assessments and sanitation fees. This means that you will pay the City of Lilburn and Gwinnett County separately. The decision for this change is to better serve our property owners through local control of the property tax billing and collection process.
The city’s goal is to distribute the property tax bills by mid-September with a November 15, 2021 due date.

It is the Property Owner’s responsibility to notify your mortgage company of this change if you pay for your taxes via your mortgage payment.
