Make and Take Rain Barrel Workshop - POSTPONED

Saturday, February 21, 2015

Due to the winter weather advisory for the area, the Rain Barrel Workshop scheduled for Saturday, February 21 at Lilburn City Hall has been postponed. The new workshop date is Saturday, March 7. The workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. in Lilburn City Hall. We have reached the maximum number of participants and are no longer accepting new registration forms for this workshop. If you have a confirmed reservation for the workshop and are not able to attend on March 7, please email rschmitt@cityoflilburn.com to schedule a time to pick-up your barrel and instructions. Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources is partnering with the City of Lilburn to offer this Rain Barrel Workshop, where attendees will make a rain barrel and take it home.

Each participant will be making a rain barrel to take with them at the end of the workshop!   Attendees will also learn about water conservation, water quality, and troubleshooting tips for installing their rain barrel at home.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended and payment is required at the time of registration. The $25 fee includes all rain barrel materials. Checks should be made payable to Gwinnett County.  Cash payment will not be accepted for this program.

For questions about registration, call 770-638-2225 or email rschmitt@cityoflilburn.com.
For questions concerning the workshop, email Heather.Moody@gwinnettcounty.com  or call 678-376-6722.

This event will take place in the auditorium at City Hall.  Space is limited and a minimum number of registrants is required for the program.

(The City is also hosting a tree planting and maintenance lunch & learn this same day.  Register for both events and spend your morning with us celebrating Arbor Day!)
