City of Lilburn Tree Walk
Saturday, April 27, 2019
Join us as we take a walk through Lilburn City Park and Camp Creek Greenway. Professionals will lead a guided tour, identifying native trees in our community.
Join us as we "Celebrate Trees" in honor of National Arbor Day. Dale Higdon, certified ISA Arborist and Susan Granbery with the Georgia Forestry Commission will lead a guided tour in Lilburn City Park and Camp Creek Greenway identifying native trees in our community and discussing "Healthy Trees, Healthy Lives".
After the tree walk we will meet in the Gartrell Nash Pavilion for an opportunity to ask questions and enjoy fun activities for the kids.
The event is rain or shine so grab your rain boots and a colorful umbrella.
If severe weather should occur the event will be moved into the Shared Meeting Room at Lilburn City Hall-Library located at 340 Main Street.
Attendees are welcome to bring a drink and sack lunch.
Special thanks to the Lilburn Ladybugs, Conservation Specialist, Susan Meyers for volunteering to make this event a success, and to Davey Tree Experts for providing informational Technical Bulletin about trees to hand out at the event.
Registration is required. Click here for the Tree Walk registration form.
