If you have a hunger for a New York-style bodega, you now can head to Old Town’s Haven Bodega.
It’s our city’s version of a Big Apple corner store or convenience market, located at 95 Main St. Besides serving incredible coffees, the eatery also comes equipped with a tiny deli that offers sandwiches, charcuteries and, eventually, prepped meals.
“We have something for everyone in Lilburn,” said Nelson Vazquez, who operates the business with partners Humberto Muriel and James Crowe.
“Old Town has an incredible charm and this is a tight-knit community. I always knew I wanted to open my own business, and quickly realized it would be in Lilburn.”
The bodega features local products such as Janet’s Jams, Valkyrie Sundries and Two Teachers Flowers. Some must-try products are the toffee crunch latte, the ham and cheddar sandwich topped with Georgia Grown drunken mustard and the nduja and sage cheddar sandwich.
"Our business offers quick grab and go food, “Vazquez said, “and it’s great for the people of Lilburn to have options. We appeal to a wide range of demographics, from kids to seniors.”
Haven Bodega joins The Blubbly Goat Wine Bar & Market, 1910 Public House and Agavero - Parkside as Old Town dining options.
