[ARCHIVED] Jan. 11 Winter Storm Update

This morning, main roads in Lilburn are still passable, but the majority of turn lanes on U.S. Highway 29 present hazards. Bottom line is roads are still icy in spots, so non-emergency travel is not advised. 
Staying indoors where it's warm and safe. It’s your best bet.
 A tree is down in the 200 block of Hood Rd., taking power lines with it. Georgia Power is on scene. Gusty winds will likely lead to more power issues. A tree has fallen across the road on Cross Creek Drive. 
As of 7:35 a.m. this morning, about 13,500 Gwinnett residents are without power. To check for outages in your area, go to:
