City Park Playground Update: Progress is being made on the drainage improvement project. Improved drainage lines have been installed, proper grading to hillside has began as well as first steps in construction of extended seat wall.
Drainage improvements will include:
- Larger capacity drain pipes on the exterior of the play area
- Flushing out the drainage that runs underneath the playground turf
- Improved dome drains in four locations outside of the play area
- Installation of bio slope to include native species plants to help absorb storm water
- Extending seat wall as well as high back curb to prevent stormwater from reaching the playground surface
