Big Things Are Happening in Lilburn!
We're thrilled to announce that the City of Lilburn is taking a bold step toward shaping a vibrant future for our community! The Lilburn Planning Department has teamed up with award-winning planning and design firm Tunnell, Spangler and Walsh (TSW) to launch a major update to our 2024 Comprehensive Plan—and we want YOU to be a part of it.
Why now? Our City Council recognized that the current character area map doesn't fully reflect the vision and values of our residents. So, we're hitting the reset button and working closely with TSW and the Lilburn Community Improvement District (CID) to revise the plan with your needs and hopes in mind.
TSW brings a wealth of experience to the table, including recent work on the Gwinnett County Unified Development Ordinance. That means Lilburn’s growth will align seamlessly with Gwinnett’s long-term goals through the Gwinnett 2045 Unified Plan—a win-win for our city and county.
The journey began at the City Council Meeting on April 14, and over the next 18 months, we’ll be gathering community input, analyzing growth opportunities, and creating a blueprint that ensures Lilburn continues to grow responsibly, sustainably, and beautifully.
