Understanding the Role of the Lilburn City Clerk
Joann Nguyen proudly serves as the City Clerk for the City of Lilburn. She holds the Georgia Certified Clerk designation and brings valuable experience to the role, having previously served as the appointed City Clerk for the City of Morgan.
The Office of the City Clerk is dedicated to providing professional, courteous service to elected officials, City staff, and—most importantly—the residents of Lilburn.
As the official record keeper for the City, the City Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining transparency and accountability in local government. Core responsibilities include:
Preparing and distributing City Council meeting agendas
Recording and archiving official meeting minutes
Maintaining City contracts, ordinances, resolutions, and agreements
Managing the City’s records retention and compliance program
