During Georgia Cities Week, we proudly recognize the dedication and bravery of our city’s finest—like Officer Trice, whose quick thinking and courageous actions helped keep our community safe.
On the morning of March 4, 2024, after completing a long overnight shift, Officer Trice was on her way home when she spotted a suspicious vehicle parked outside Royal Package. Aware of recent criminal activity in the area and trusting her instincts, she took it upon herself to investigate.
As she approached, the vehicle sped away. Without hesitation, Officer Trice pursued it westbound on Lawrenceville Highway. The suspects eventually crashed and fled on foot. Despite knowing they were armed and dangerous, Officer Trice fearlessly gave chase and, on her own, apprehended one of the suspects.
Thanks to her courage and determination, additional suspects were captured in the days that followed. Her actions were instrumental in linking the group to a series of crimes across Gwinnett County.
Officer Trice exemplifies the very best of local law enforcement—diligent, fearless, and deeply committed to public safety. We’re proud to honor her service and heroism this Georgia Cities Week.
