[ARCHIVED] GEORGIA CITIES WEEK-Business Services

Business Services, 2.2025-Brianna Brower, Malik Frederick, Jenny Lazaro

As the welcoming face of City Hall, the Business Services Department plays a vital role in connecting residents and business owners with the city. From handling general inquiries and calls to managing essential services like permitting, licensing, server permits, facility rentals, and payment processing, this team is committed to delivering top-notch customer service every step of the way.

Recent initiatives have elevated the department’s efficiency and accessibility, including the addition of online payment options for business owners and the launch of a comprehensive training program for new team members—ensuring consistent service and support from day one.

Beyond their daily responsibilities, the Business Services team actively fosters a culture of teamwork and creativity. Whether it’s crafting vibrant Catrina hats for the city’s Halloween celebration, building a working train for a “Polar Express”-themed holiday competition, or joining the Planning Department for a collaborative Thanksgiving potluck, this group knows how to mix work with fun and camaraderie. They also show up for the community, participating in outreach events like the Plaza’s Market Pop-up and Lilburcaun, sharing helpful resources and a friendly face.

Business Services is more than just operations—it’s people, passion, and a dedication to making City Hall approachable and responsive for all.
