The Steering Committee for Lilburn’s 2025 Comprehensive Plan Update held its kickoff meeting on May 14th, 2025. Members were introduced to the planning process, discussed how the plan will guide future growth and inform city zoning updates, and worked in groups to explore different land use scenarios for key areas across Lilburn. This meeting set the foundation for a collaborative and transparent planning process, ensuring that the updated Comprehensive Plan reflects both community values and the City’s vision for sustainable, balanced growth. This effort is a joint effort between the City and the Lilburn Community Improvement District, with TSW serving as facilitator.
The Steering Committee will meet 7 more times over the next year, with the next steering committee meeting set to be held in early July. There will be an opportunity for involvement with this important process at the Splash Bash event at Lilburn City Park on Saturday, May 24th, 2025.
