RecaP from 12/3 Special Called Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting
The Zoning Board of Appeals held a Special Called hearing on Wednesday, December 3rd.
During the meeting, the board considered a request from Kittle Homes, LLC for a variance from Appendix B, Article 4, Section 4.3 – Building Permits. The variance would have allowed the construction of five model homes—instead of the two permitted by code—for The Preserve Phase 3 at 327 Killian Hill Road (Parcel R6111 005).
The board voted to deny the request.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR TAX BILL:
2025 Property Tax Deadline was Monday, December 1, 2025.
REMEMBER: Interest is added monthly to delinquent tax bills.
The interest rate changes yearly in January, and is based on prime, as mandated by state law. A 5% penalty is added to the remaining balance 120 days after the due date. After that, an additional 5% is added onto the remaining balance after every 120 days, with the total penalty not to exceed 20%.
If taxes are left unpaid, a lien will be filed on the property 120 days after the due date. The lien will be filed in the owner’s name as of January 1. If you recently sold the property, it is your responsibility to forward the bill to the new owner to avoid having a lien filed under your name.
Additionally: There will be a $30 Insufficient Funds Charge per parcel for each returned check.
