Community Notice: Targeted Traffic Enforcement
The Lilburn Police Department will be conducting targeted enforcement focused on excessively loud mufflers in response to concerns shared by residents.
This effort is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming community for everyone who lives, works, and visits Lilburn. Excessive vehicle noise can be disruptive to neighborhoods and businesses, and addressing it helps preserve the quality of life we all value.
We appreciate the community’s feedback and partnership as we work together to keep Lilburn a great place to call home.

Save Our Water: Report Illicit Discharges
The City of Lilburn stormwater drainage system helps prevent flooding by directing rainwater runoff through the system into local streams and ponds. Dumping, or allowing anything other than rainwater into a storm drain, is considered an illicit discharge, which is prohibited by the city’s Stormwater Management Ordinance. Illicit discharges, such as motor oil, chemicals, soapy water, pet waste and even grass clippings and leaves, harm local waterways by causing pollution.
Here are some tips to prevent illicit discharges:
- Never pour chemicals, oils, or cleaners down a storm drain
- Pick up pet waste and dispose of it in the trash
- Avoid dumping or blowing yard waste into storm drains
- Fix vehicle leaks quickly and recycle used automotive fluids
Let’s make a difference in the quality of Lilburn’s waterways by preventing stormwater pollution. If you see anyone dumping anything into a storm drain, you can call 678.376.7000 (DWR dispatch) to initiate an inspection or report and upload photos to the city’s Stormwater Manager using SeeClickFix directly from the City of Lilburn homepage or the link below.
