UPDATE: On May 12, 2020, Governor Kemp issued additional guidance for reviving a healthy Georgia, extending many precautions and guidelines. All provisions, unless otherwise noted in the order, are effective until May 31, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.
Residents and visitors should practice social distancing and refrain from gathering as defined in the order. People are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings as practicable while outside of their place of residence, except when eating, drinking, or exercising outdoors. All residents and visitors to the state shall practice sanitation in accordance with the guidelines published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Businesses must continue to operate with social distancing and sanitation rules through the end of the month. All live performance venues, operators of amusement rides, and bars must remain closed through May 31, 2020.

Although the statewide shelter in place order will expire for most Georgians tonight at 11:59 p.m., Governor Brian Kemp urges all Georgians to continue to stay at home whenever possible. Businesses must continue to operate with strict social distancing and sanitation rules to keep customers and employees safe through May 13, 2020. See link below for more information.
On April 30, 2020 Governor Kemp issued a new executive order. The Public Health State of Emergency, which was set to expire on Wednesday, May 13, was renewed and will now expire on Friday, June 12, 2020, unless extended by the Governor. Also included in the executive order, medically fragile and elderly Georgians must continue to shelter in place through June 12, 2020. Long-term care facilities are ordered to utilize enhanced infection control protocols. See the attached link to the Governor’s executive order for additional details.
