Recycle your Christmas tree

Residents may drop off their live Christmas trees for recycling at the city's Public Works Department, located at 4428 Lilburn Industrial Way. Trees will be chipped and used at various locations around the city. All decorations, lights, and tree stands must be removed from the trees prior to donating. Christmas trees will be accepted for recycling through January 25, 2020.

Lilburn Police Badge

Register for Citizen's Police Academy

The Lilburn Police Department is currently accepting applications for the 2020 Citizen's Police Academy. This 13-week program is designed to educate and inform citizens about issues that face law enforcement efforts in the city. The academy begins on February 20 and will meet on Thursday nights, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Registrants must attend 10 of the 13 classes. The instruction is comprehensive, and each week a separate area of the department is covered. Holiday Light Reminder

Did you know that the city code limits the amount of time holiday lights may be displayed outdoors? The law is based on the National Electric Code which states that outdoor holiday lighting is only good for 90 days. According to city code, low voltage lights may be installed on November 1 and must be removed by January 31. 

 

City Offices Closed January 20

The City of Lilburn administrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, January 21 at 8:30 a.m.
