City of Lilburn Declares State of Emergency

LILBURN - On Monday, March 23, 2020, Lilburn Mayor Pro Tem Scott Batterton declared a Local State of Emergency for the City of Lilburn in response to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
This declaration allows the mayor and council to enact one or more emergency ordinances pursuant to Section 2.24 of the City Charter and to consider a resolution to hold all public meetings by teleconference due to emergency circumstances as permitted by OCGA 50-14-1 (g) of the Georgia Open Meetings Act.
The City of Lilburn's state of emergency continues for 30 days after adoption, unless renewed by the mayor and council.
