Approval of Ordinance No. 2022-581 

The City of Lilburn City Council approved the Ordinance No. 2022-581, an ordinance to amend the FY21-22 budget by increasing General Fund revenue by$304,517 and reconciling expenditures across 11 departments; establishing a balanced budget for a new fund, Fund 235, for ARPA. Motion passed with a 3-0 vote.

Approval of Ordinance No. 2022-582 & 2022-583

The City of Lilburn City Council approved the Ordinance No. 2022-582, approving zoning application CIC-2022-01 for Change in Conditions to SUP-2014-02.

The City of Lilburn City Council denied CIC-2022-02 as submitted and approved Ordinance No. 2022-583 with emended hours.

Both motion passed with a 3-0 vote.

Approval of Consent Agenda

The City of Lilburn City Council approved the following agenda items:

Agenda Item No. 1 - Authorization for application – 2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – Velva Way Sewer

Agenda Item No. 2 - Approval of Ordinance No. 2022–584, an ordinance to modify Chapter 62, Taxation, of the City of Lilburn City Code of Ordinances by adding Article III, excise tax on rooms, lodging, and accommodations, to provide for an effective date, and for other purposes.

Agenda Item No. 3 - Approval of Resolution No. 2022-10, a resolution to repeal and replace Section 9 of the City of Lilburn General and Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual pertaining to private events on city property.

Motions passed with a 3-0 vote.

Other Business and Upcoming Events  

• Mayor Dunn presented the Arbor Day and the Georgia Cities Week proclamations.
• Great American Cleanup will be held on April 23, 2022, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Lilburn City Hall.
• The Mayor will host a Town Hall meeting on April 27, 2022 in the Preston Room at City Hall.
• The Lilburn Splash Pad opens on May 7, 2022 from 11 am until 7 pm in the park.
• Downtown Lilburn Spring Cornhole League continues every Thursday until May 19th, 6:45 PM - 9:00 PM at the Lilburn City Park.
• Lilburn Food Truck Tuesdays is back on May 10, 2022 from 6-9 pm in the Lilburn City Park.
