Approval of updated fine schedule

City Council approved a new fine schedule for Lilburn Municipal Court. A recent study showed that Lilburn Municipal Court fines were low compared to neighboring jurisdictions. The updated schedule brings the fines more in line with these neighboring jurisdictions. Vote: 3-0

Millage rate set for 2018

City Council approved the 2018 millage rate. The Code of Georgia requires the City Council to set its millage rate annually for the upcoming year as it applies to real and personal property within the City’s corporate limits. At 4.43 mills, the 2018 millage will remain the same as the 2017 millage rate. Vote: 3-0   

Other Business

  • Three upcoming city events were announced; Lilburn Police Department-Women’s Self Defense Program on July 19 and 20 at the Calvin Fitchett Municipal Complex, City of Lilburn National Night Out on August 7 at Plaza Las Americas, and Lilburn Food Truck Tuesday on August 14 in Lilburn City Park.
