Rezoning approved

City Council approved with conditions the rezoning of approximately four acres of property located at 313 Luxomni Road. The property was rezoned from CB, Commercial Business to IA, Industrial Activity. The property owner intends to lease the inventory/overflow parking area and first floor building space to a full service auto center including repair, towing, and impound lot.   Vote: 4-0

Change to Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance

City Council approved revisions of the city's Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance to mirror state law regarding package store ownership. The revision allows for one owner to hold no more than two package store licenses within the City of Lilburn. Previously, package store owners were only allowed to hold one license. Vote: 4-0

New alcohol application approved

City Council approved an alcohol application for The CRC Restaurant Group, LLC dba Agavero Cantina Parkside, located at 66 Main Street. The license allows for retail consumption on premise for beer, wine and distilled spirits. The license is effective immediately contingent upon receiving an occupational tax certificate. Vote: 4-0

Other Business

  • City Council approved amending various city ordinances to remove text referencing the City of Lilburn Alcohol Review Board and replacing it with City Manager and/or Designee. Vote: 4-0
  • “Remembering Our Fallen”, a traveling photo memorial wall of Georgia’s Fallen, will be on display in the lobby of the Lilburn City Hall-Library, September 10-14, 2018. This photographic war memorial honors over 210 Georgia based service members who died while serving our country during The War on Terror (9/11/2001-Present).
  • Lilburn Daze Arts & Crafts Festival takes place on October 13, 2018, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in Lilburn City Park.
