Lilburn Christmas Parade Cancelled

Due to the weather forecast, the Lilburn Christmas Parade has been cancelled. Families may still stop by Lilburn City Hall-Library and visit with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 8, 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Kids can make a free holiday ornament craft, while supplies last. A balloon artist will be strolling the event and Chick-fil-A Lilburn will be selling coffee and cookies. Guests can purchase a ticket in the lobby from the Gwinnett Humane Society or the Parkview High School HOPE organization for a chance to take home a beautifully decorated Christmas tree! Christmas tree drawings will be at 1:45 p.m.

Don't Let Crime Ruin Your Holiday

Here are some tips to help you have a safe and enjoyable holiday season.
Tip 1: Watch Out for “Porch Pirates”
Packages dropped off on front porches provide opportunities for thieves to steal your home deliveries! Consider taking advantage of electronic delivery alerts, having your packages delivered to your office or purchasing security cameras for the exterior of your home.
Tip 2: Lock, Take, and Hide
Purchases stored in your vehicle may catch the attention of thieves roaming through the parking lot. Remember to LOCK, TAKE & HIDE. LOCK your doors, TAKE your keys, and HIDE your belongings. Also park in well-lit areas.
Tip 3: Protect your Identity
Before you head out to do your holiday shopping, take some steps to protect your personal information. Carry only those credit cards you need and avoid carrying social security cards, birth certificates or passports unless absolutely necessary. When shopping online, be sure to only use secure websites, log off from a site after you have completed your purchase, and monitor your bank accounts and credit card activity regularly throughout the holidays. #saferChristmas
