City Millage Rate

The City of Lilburn’s millage rate for 2025 is 4.43 mills, which is the same as the previous 10 years. The millage rate is the rate at which property is taxed. One mill equals $1 tax per $1,000 of assessed property value. Taxing authorities, such as the county school board, county government, state government, and municipal government, levy a tax on the assessed property value. Taxes are assessed in Georgia based on 40 percent of the real property value, which is determined by the county tax assessor.
