Division Overview & Responsibilities

The City of Lilburn’s Information Technology Division plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the city’s digital infrastructure. The division supports the citywide network, providing essential connectivity for all municipal operations. It manages and maintains critical software systems used by departments such as Finance, Human Resources, Planning, Business Services, and Police, ensuring reliable access to key applications.

In addition, the IT team installs and maintains the city’s desktops, laptops, and servers, ensuring all staff have the tools needed to serve the public effectively. They oversee the city’s security access systems and surveillance cameras, contributing to the safety and security of municipal facilities. The division also supports the specialized in-car computer systems used by Lilburn police officers, enabling timely communication and efficient response to calls from residents.
