Notice Regarding Gwinnett County Notices of Assessment

Due to a technical issue identified by the Gwinnett County Tax Assessor’s Office, some property owners with homestead exemptions may receive a corrected Notice of Assessment in the mail beginning the week of June 9.

The original notices did not reflect the City of Lilburn’s exemption in the appropriate section, which affected the Net Taxable Value. Revised notices will include the proper exemption amount and an updated 45-day appeal window.

If you currently have a homestead exemption, keep an eye on your mailbox. No action is needed unless you wish to file an appeal.

Bryson/Hood Road Re-alignment Project Update

Progress continues on the Bryson/Hood Road re-alignment project! This week, crews are focusing on grading and base placement along Lilburn School Road, as well as adding curb and gutter to improve long-term drainage and road stability.

Please note: The current detour will remain in place until the new main entrance into the park is completed—estimated to be about three weeks, weather permitting. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve access and safety in this area!

Railroad Avenue Project Update

Work is progressing on the exciting Railroad Avenue redevelopment—a public-private partnership that will bring a new parking deck and luxury apartments to the heart of our city. Currently, New South Construction is continuing stormwater infrastructure work and preparing to pour foundations, footings, and walls as the project moves into its next phase. Learn more about this transformative project.
