Keeping Lilburn Beautiful
The Lilburn Community Improvement District has contracted for a street sweeper along Highway 29, and the first cleaning is scheduled for this week.
Crews will be regularly cleaning 16 miles of curb — 12 miles along the outside curb and 4 miles on the inside curb.
To minimize disruptions, sweeping will take place during times of least traffic.
Thank you, LCID, for investing in a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming Highway 29 corridor!

Preventative Septic Maintenance Saves Streams
The City of Lilburn has many homes served by septic systems. This is an efficient and environmentally friendly way to treat wastewater from your home. Septic systems recharge groundwater, handle smaller amounts of waste than sewer systems, and encourage water conservation. However, regular maintenance is necessary to prevent possible failures.
Be sure to have your septic tank pumped out every three to five years by a licensed septic contractor and permit any repairs with Gwinnett County Environmental Health Department. For more information, visit our Stormwater Management webpage.
