There are 3 items on the city ballot:
- Make your selection for Post 3 city-wide council person
- Make your selection for Post 4 city-wide council person
- Select YES or NO for the special election referendum. In simple terms, this referendum provides potential benefits for the homeowner whose primary residence is in Lilburn city limits.
- A vote YES prevents your assessment from increasing more than 8% each year; and,
- Increases the Senior homestead exemption from $10k to $50k on your city portion of the property tax bill.
- A vote NO does not provide a cap on property tax assessments, and the assessment could increase more than 8% each year, and;
- The Senior exemption would remain $10k
