Here's this week's highlights:

The Lilburn Loop: March 9

council meeting tonight

A critical next step in the downtown master plan process is for the Mayor, Council, and DDA board to formally adopt the concepts from the charrette as the over-arching vision for Old Town. Not all elements of the concept will be feasible, but the plan provides critical vision needed to serve as our guiding light.

Thank you, again, for sharing your time and ideas with the City and DDA over the course of a week. We are energized by your engagement and excited about the future.

downtown master plan: what happens next?

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Downtown Master Plan Charrette. If you were unable to attend—or would like to revisit the discussions—you can view the presentations from both Monday’s kickoff meeting and Friday’s closing presentation by clicking the links below. These provide an overview of the ideas and feedback shared throughout the week as we begin shaping a long-range vision for Old Town Lilburn.

At tonight's Council Meeting, the Mayor and Council will consider adoption of the Downtown Master Plan concepts. Adoption does not mean that every recommendation will ultimately be feasible or implemented. Rather, it allows the Council to review the ideas and consider which may move forward. Many of the concepts would be evaluated through the city’s five-year Capital Improvement Plan.

Recycle right, lilburn

When in doubt, throw the item away. One incorrect item in the recycle bin can cause the entire bin to be contaminated and all will be discarded as trash. Small actions make a big impact — thank you for recycling right!
