Moratorium extended

Lilburn City Council voted to extend the moratorium placed on the acceptance of applications for the construction of new townhome developments by 120 days. On January 13, 2020, City Council adopted Resolution No. 2020-03, placing a moratorium on the acceptance of applications for the construction of new townhome developments until April 12, 2020. The moratorium will remain in place until August 10, 2020 to allow for additional time for staff to consult with zoning and legal experts on solutions including a text amendment to the zoning code. Vote: 3-0

Alcohol licenses approved

Brick Oven Pizza Bar, located at 411 Beaver Ruin Rd., was approved for an alcohol license for consumption on premise for beer & wine. Vote: 3-0

An alcohol license for consumption on premise for a personal service license was approved for Five Star Nail & Spa, located at 4030 Lawrenceville Hwy., Ste. 7. Vote: 3-0

Both locations met all zoning requirements and approvals were contingent on each business receiving an occupational tax certificate.

  • The following events were announced: Lilburchaun Parade on March 14, Downtown Lilburn Spring Cornhole League on March 19, and the Easter Egg Hunt on April 11.
