Adoption of budget

City Council approved the City of Lilburn Fiscal Year 2018/2019 budget ordinance. This follows a public hearing that was held on May 16, 2018 at Lilburn City Hall. The FY 2018/2019 annual budgets for the City of Lilburn include $7,916,111 for General Fund, $80,000 for Confiscated Assets Fund, $321,592 for Capital Projects Fund, and $3,779,763 for Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (2017 SPLOST) Fund. The city's upcoming fiscal year is July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019. Vote: 3-0

Playground equipment bid approved

American Architectural Design Specialties d/b/a Architectural Design Specialties/Playground Creations was awarded the bid for the replacement and installation of playground equipment for the expanded playground area at Lilburn City Park. The amount is not to exceed $162,600. This project is being funded by the 2017 SPLOST/Recreation fund. Vote: 3-0

Two upcoming city events were announced; Lilburn Food Truck Tuesday on June 12, 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Sparkle in the Park on July 4, 5:30-10:00 p.m.
