As part of the FY 2020/2021 Budget Process, state law requires the Mayor and Council conducted a public hearing prior to the adoption of the FY 2020/2021 budget ordinance on June 8, 2020. The budget ordinance is being presented for adoption today.
The FY 2020/2021 total budget for the City of Lilburn is $12,310,574. The city adopts balanced budgets for six funds:
General Fund - $8,657,180
Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax - $2,630,608
Capital Projects Fund - $922,086
Confiscated Assets Fund - $1,000
Tax Allocation District Fund - $21,600
School Zone Safety Fund - $78,100
As discussed in our budget work session on April 13, 2020, the millage rate will remain at 4.43 mils and is scheduled to be adopted at the Council meeting in July.
